Item of the Day: A Porch Chair
Why:
The sun streams, it billows, it rocks with ever upturned face of green against the bark of old oak, stretching to breaking point. But the porch chair and its occupant are under shade and the light never touches. The occupant stirs, rests his hands against the wrought green iron of the porch chair. From his perch he can see the scraggly rocks, falling away to mulch and a path that takes a wanderer to the shores of the lake, to the iron boardwalk and the boat that slithers and rams against its hold. The trees are very tall. They reach. You can see how they reach from the perch of the porch chair.
It's the perfect place to watch nature shimmer.
He knows that.
